Hi all, I was laid off in April and haven't been able to find work since plus I had just signed a year lease at my apt 1 month prior. I have two years working as a mechanical equipment engineer creating drawings/assemblies in AUTOCAD/Solidworks, retro fitting mechanical designs, project management both large and small scale, as well as experience writing RFQ's. This market is scary, my rent is 2k and unemployment runs out in December. If anyone has any leads please advise.

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.
