If you have your PMP, was it worth it?
I’m in between projects. I have been for a while now. So if anyone is looking for a freelance copy and u/x writer, put me in coach! I’m available to work.
Check out my portfolio and let me know if we’re a good profit match.

I’m also open to feedback on my portfolio. Thanks!

I got mine in Dec ‘21. I say go for it because when applying to other companies it looks good on your resume. I used Udemy for the courses (wait till they’re having a sale). Its not that bad just take 1-2 months to study, when taking the test choose the best answer that says your a servant leader and you will pass. Dont focus on formulas. GoodLuck if you do decide to take it
Thank you! This is so helpful.
I’m a PM for a creative agency and I asked my company to pay for me to obtain it. They are paying for the classes, and the test, and any materials, but I have to do the classes and study on my own time.
I want my PMP for a few reasons.
1. It makes me a very marketable individual for any future employment opportunities.
2. When courting new clients, whose industries are more aligned with the requirements of a PMP, it makes our agency look good.
3. While not all PMP taught methods are applicable to agency life, there are bits that I have found to be “lightbulb moments” on applying that to our process.
I’m happy to chat with you more on this, because I’m in a similar boat!
Yes! Would def love to chat more
I would probably do it during the winter when there's nothing else to do and if the company is paying for it... But otherwise I don't think it's worth the time and money.
Not having it hasn't held me back one bit .
Which industry are you in?
I work for an advertising company, but in the operations side.
I’d do it! I wish my company would pay for me to take it. I current want to take the PMP but cannot afford to pay for it out of pocket. I work at a nonprofit and they typically don’t pay for stuff like this.
