Hi Everyone I have joined FIS one month back only, I am just Okay with my current project. I see here everybody is leaving FIS and telling it's not good. I have changed Infosys within 7 months. Now, I don't want to switch this early. Can somebody tell me about the good points, pros in FIS. I really want to change my mindset so that I feel happy here and can give back something to organization.FIS Global

Don’t break into consulting right now…
We doing more rifs soon probably lol
What MBA program? I feel like most have some sort of consulting track or major.
The program I did unfortunately did not have many track options.
I would advise to look in another industry right now, consulting is a mess. It is not even close to what it was pre 2020, most projects are a few months now, which means a lot of time trying to scramble to find work on the bench especially when you start and don’t have a ton of connections at the firm yet. Even if you are hired (not your talent just the market is bad and so many firms are laying off) it will be a mess and youll be viewed as a means to get the partners money and that’s it. Have had friends at PwC, Deloitte, and EY all be let go out of the blue while staffed with great performance reviews.
That being said consulting is also as political as i’ve ever seen it right now (not the case for every group but it’s getting more and more). Everyone is aware layoffs are happening at all levels, so tensions are a little high and again the competition for work both inside and getting work from a client perspective, and to stay you to really “play the game” with higher ups. I have a friend who’s one of the few left from his associate class of 2022, yes fall of 2022, and he’s around but has 4 hour calls sunday night, brutal project hours, and tons of internal work. That being said i had a friend who was staffed and doing a ton of internal work with great reviews, and they were still let go with 0 explanation AFTER all cuts were said to be made.
Tried to share some candid experiences, but genuinely I would look for another industry or boutique firm, because the big firms of the consulting world are a mess rn
Agree with PwC, McK, and EY. The market is tough. The small bits of work we do get is brutal, benches are deep, and clients are looking for high ROI, not Change Enablement ATM.
So what should the mba grad do if not consulting?
Great question! Thanks for asking in my place 😉. Would love to hear some responses...
Put a slightly different, what kind of roles should I yes be looking out for now, to set myself up with the experience/background for consulting when the industry hopefully does pick up again in a couple of years?
