Depends on your level - but $800 -$1200. Also recommend opening an LLC- I did mine through Legalzoom.com. Then track mileage and commute fees, memberships to trade websites, biz lunches, health insurance etc. The way the tax laws are now - you get diddly squat in write-offs as an individual but a lot more as a Corp. I use QuickBooks to track everything and consult an accountant frequently. Also get a credit card and biz bank account to keep everything separate

Does your LLC work with the new tax law and when getting paid under a W2?

Day rate is more typical. $600-$1,200 range really varies depends on agency, digital or broadcast, network or online content etc. Obviously depends too on yrs of experience.

But how long is the day according to you & that rate? 8 hrs standard day, 10 hrs, 12?

EY, question about utilization. If we hit 40 chargeable hours for the week, does charging time to admin/auth-proj. impact utilization in any way? I’ve only been logging chargeable hrs in GTE...

Interviewing for senior audit role at a small tech company, interviewed with 7 people so far. Recruiter ghosts me for 1 month and now she wants me to do more interviews. During the 1 month of ghosting I applied for an internal transfer at EY and have interview next week. If I get the transfer, I’d rather stay at EY - should I decline or accept the tech company’s 8th interview?

Recruiter gives salary range of 130-145k in initial convo. I say under 155k would be hard, he says “$10k higher, that’s doable.” Healthcare at company sucks - so Now want to ask for 160k. Is that ok?

Sometimes I wonder if the anxiety and anticipation leading up to the school year is/will be worse than when we're actually in the classroom, doing our thing, day in and day out. I hope so!
