Deloitte experienced hires, who all received written offers and in process of visa/ onboarding, have you heard back anything about hiring freeze? Or recruiter asked you to delay joining date?
My visa got submitted couple of days back and waiting for decision. When I reached out to recruiter to give her an update and mentioned once there’s decision will discuss on the start date before putting my 2 weeks, she mentioned “Yes, we should talk before you put notice” - Am I overthinking? Yes, immediately do that. But there is a process of W2D. This orientation happens as a batch. If you inform today, they will check the next W2D date and change the joining date & they will send the revised offer letter with the latest joining date.
If I may ask, after how many days of requesting a date change did HR send you the joining date extension? I’m asking because I had requested it on 16th October, but I still haven’t received any update but, HR is responding that he will extend the joining he is saying this from past 3 weeks but there’s no response on the mail yet . It would be really helpful if you could share your experience. Is this response kind of negative or is it the internal process that making the delay?
No, it's almost a month from now. Better inform them immediately. Onboarding team starts the joining process almost 4 to 5 weeks before. This is the right time to communicate.
Can they extend the Joining date with 2 weeks? My LWD and joining dates are also overlapping. My joining date is 16th September and LWD is 28 September .is it possible to extend the Joining date to 30th September?

Hi, my joining date is on dec 8th and my lwd is dec 10th. Deloitte HR is saying that there is no onboarding after 8th and they cannot postpo joining date and my current organisation HR is saying that it’s mandatory to serve 90 days. Can somehow help me on this.. will Deloitte not postpone the joining date???

My joining date is on 23sep, so will it create problem if i inform them by 1st of sept?
