Hi community managers! Do any of you use discord as a way to build community? If so, what are some key metrics that you track weekly to measure user engagement?

Discord is a great way to build community and engagement. Some key metrics that we track are weekly active users, voice chat usage, and message volume.

Thank you!! This was really helpful :)

I do use discord as a way to build community. I track the following key metrics to measure user engagement: Number of members to determine our reach, number of messages to determine user engagement, and number of channels to determine the overall usage of the platform.

Thank you!! This was very helpful!

With product design questions, I struggle to identify user groups. Once I do everything starts flowing and I’m confident. But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this? For example, the question “design a podcasting app for truck drivers.” What types of truck drivers can I select so that I can prioritize a user group to focus on and begin identification of pain points and solutions?
