I started 7 years ago, before starting my marketing studies I helped a family member with the management of his social networks, today I continue working with that family member and many other clients.
I am a journalist by career, and little by little I got closer to the marketing sector, my approach started writing as a copywriter, and evolved to marketing manager over time.
When I discovered that it was a brand manual, I understood that this was the career I wanted for my future.
I'm a designer by profession, and in the search for good marketing agents for my agency I learned a lot about this discipline, today I am a marketing manager and designer.
I started out freelance, specifically on the platform Upwork and from there I built a reputation through various clients.
Found an opening for the role online, applied, and landed it. No prior experience. Kinda crazy to think about haha
It was purely by chance. I was hired by a startup as a writer and gradually they started giving me community-related tasks. I didn't even know the role existed until they approached me about formally switching titles.
I taught myself programming and got a job as an entry-level front-end dev. I almost immediately regretted it once I started working and thought the CM's job looked more my speed. I started applying for CM jobs a few months later and got one within a week.
I started 4 years ago with a lots of customer service experience and also a background with some marketing. I created the CM role at my company, so it was easy to get it going.
