I did not get a TPM role, but maybe can help with my experience. 1. The org/team did not play into the comp for me 2. Sorry, no help here 3. Mine lasted about 2-2.5 months 4. I was asked some comp expectations near the beginning of team matching, but did not get into actual offer numbers and negotiations until I was matched. Best of luck!
That's correct - If I was not team-matched, then I would not have received an offer. Luckily I was matched so no problem. They will leave it open for a year to match, at least for most tech roles.
Pro
1. No change
2. Please share more info on your skillset. It is way more team based but generally Cloud is bad, YT/Search/Ads more stable but can depends
3. Anywhere from few months to 1 year (TBC) I think is the max your HC approval is valid for.
4. Search this bowl. Comp is based on level, location and job ladder. If outside Bay Area/NY you will have to discount your expecttions accordingly.
My first interview was last year and I m joining G next week. It took about a year to finally secure the offer. This was my 2nd attempt. Like others said, DO NOT count on Google and decline other offers. There are many unknowns in their process and each stage can be a rejection stage. Nothing is final until offer. So don’t get your hopes high. You can always switch if G does happen but you won’t be happy if you decline others while hoping and waiting on G. P
See I have my first phone interview for TPM. Does it really take this long to interview ? I’m tryna leave my job ASAP
I was also trying to leave my job ASAP ;) but guess it is what it is. What would help is if you’re interviewed for a specific team vs a general hire where it requires team matching and depends on available positions at that time. The specific team may move faster due to their requirements.
