I received an email from the HR at Monitor Deloitte that I've cleared the case round and a back to back discussion with partner and director of the team will be scheduled. Been almost 3 days since this email, haven't received asking for availability from the scheduling team. This for a role with their Lifesciences Strategy practice in the UK. How long do they typically take to schedule the final round of discussions? Do they eliminate candidates in this round?

Let's say your company researches and has clinical trials for a psoriasis drug. You would want to monitor all competitor drugs being investigated in clincial trials at this moment. You would want to know what drug's application was filed with fda/ema, when, if it was eventually accepted/rejected, when it's being launched, etc. Basically keeping track of your competitors and understanding how big a threat their drug is to your own is competitive intelligence. Every pharma company has a CI team to understand these aspects. Remember all the secondary research you did/do for your daily work as a scientist? Pubmed/google and all? Now just add pharma databases, company websites, SEC filings, investor calls, scientific congresses, and such things to your search and you will be able to do CI. All scientists, once they come to their senses, join the corporate world (better pay, less work, comparatively relaxed life where you are not always worried about funding your lab and students), and CI and scientific/publication writing is the first thing they ususally move into if they don't have much information about the pharma world 😊😊
