Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones. current role as compliance manager

bonus. I was above cap in my prior
role and now my range is up to $138k

Can someone give me an overview of what Internal Audit does? Received an offer for IA and currently work in External Audit. Want to know the differences between the two.

My co's IA dept is very new and my boss has asked me to look into a format for a memo we would write to a process owner to make a process recommendation. Not a formal finding in an audit report but more of a process recommendation. Do other companies have something similar?

What third party applications are most of you guys using for internal audit management and sox testing? (I.e. workiva) and would you recommend it?

How many hours a week (average) do internal auditors work? Is there busy periods of the year like public accounting ?

Would it be difficult to get a job in IA if most of my experience has been auditing private non-404 asset mgmt funds? I really enjoy process walkthroughs when I have them though. Also, does title matter that much in IA? I’m a manager now, but based on job descriptions it looks like I might have to go for a senior auditor role because audit manager roles generally call for 8+ years from what I’m seeing. Can title be negotiated?
