I also bought a house (that I don’t live in), so I went to H&R Block to give it a try assuming they could advise me on optimizing my return, it seemed that they are completely transactional as the person is just typing numbers in a form. Any recommendations on how to navigate personal taxes with an actual advisor?

Got news that my house closing may have to be moved due to a delay in the sale of my home. My partner’s income was excluded in the DI ratio, but if it were included we’d be well under the % threshold and can be approved to close on time regardless of the sale of my house. However our mortgage company’s underwriting team has been painfully slow in confirming if her income qualifies. She’s been at her new job 1 month after a year off. Anyone with underwriting experience have insight?

Is the HRA and house rent factor in salary are the same.

And LTA is depend on HRA amount.

If I end up with 0% apportionment under GIT and 10% apportionment under CBT (withholding tax), the partnership pays tax upfront but NRs get 100% refund?

I got married in 2021. Before my wedding I lived in State#1 and after the wedding I moved to State#2. My spouse lived in State#2 the entire year.
Can I file as Married Jointly in such a way that State#1 only calculates my income for the portion of the year I lived there?
