Before joining the Industry, I graduated from Law School then I needed to find another path and worked in a regional boutique.
I joined a respectable business school to gain some knowledge.
My path in finance has led me from the back office to the middle office and finally a front office internship. I graduated 6 months ago after an internship at a BB.
Since the end of my internship I’ve applied to many offers but never got any answers. Can somebody enlighten me on how to break in?

How far into your career did it take before working at a place that had black people in leadership positions? I have yet and it's making it hard on me to seek out mentors or even friends

Any tips on how to get into product management? I'm a data scientist/ engineer with 5yr workex. Of late I've been trying to take up PM tasks like project ideation, strategy &roadmap. Need mentorship to enhance my skills and profile to be more fit for tech PM roles. Can anyone pl help?

Side Note: I never thought too much about money - i make~95k in a tier 2 city and feel like I probably should work towards earning more, after seeing the 200-300k+ salaries that people r making, to plan for future

For those who have obtained the CFF certification:
I was asked to put together a working plan to obtain my CFF credential. I’m aware of the 2 certificate program (Core and Specialized) through the AICPA that will lead to the CFF. Does anyone have experience in how long it would take to complete the certificates and if there are other necessary or helpful study materials that would be useful? For background, I’m 6 months into working at this firm and have touched a variety of cases.

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

Hi All, I'm currently working as a Senior Systems Engineer at Infosys in Application support and maintenance(Infra team) role for Oracle - Argus Enterprise edition. My current CTC is 3.92 LPA. My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

Currently working with IBM with 10+ yoe having joined IBM 10 months back. Currently at 25 lpa and getting an offer of 32 fixed+15% variable.

Now my question is - Is it worth the gamble to leave IBM and join Kantar consulting which btw is known for market research and not consulting.
Also would leaving IBM after 1 year look bad on CV?

I'm currently looking at two HRBP roles at two different titles/salary bands. This would at a large banking company located in NYC. Can anyone with banking industry experience share their perspectives and insights on the differentiation between the roles? I take it that VP is more of a junior role and a more commonly-used title. I have a friend that's a VP at JPM and has about the same YOE as me (shes not in HR). I have about 15 YOE but about 10 yrs HR YOE and 3 HRBP YOE.

I have a friend who was let go a few months into his first job after college (reason: the manager felt like he wasn't grasping the training content to the level that was expected). He's worried about if he should put the experience on his resume anyway, if he does will recruiters ask why he had such a short time at this place, and what will recruiters think if he explains he was let go. What are some things recruiters expect from candidates in this situation to continue considering them?
