I am working as a Mobile app Product Manager with a private bank. My past experience is with another bank as a Business PM.
My experience is that work expectations/KRAs of bank PMs are not in line with what is standard. It mainly ranges between being a punching bag for Senior mgt & glorified BA/Project Mgr.

How to exit this trap? I'm not getting shortlisted for PM roles in E commerce/Fintechs due to lack of real hands-on experience

Background - Tier 1 MBA, 2.8 year PM exp in banks

I exited to FAANG from big4 and part of me is seriously thinking about getting an mba to go to mbb. Does that make any sense?

Looking to exit from 195k base to a sales role base 140 + 40 in guaranteed bonus year 1 to make up for the lengthy sales cycle. I know in the long run total comp through equity and sales commission bonus can be much higher but having a hard time making the jump… mostly my ego to drop drastically in TCO the first year after spending all these years trying to increase base. Still interviewing - unicorn saas account exec. What would you do?

I just got into reading books, any suggestions to start with? Which could help to increase media/marketing knowledge.

Hi Fieshes, i don’t want to leave development but the job roles I’m getting now after i resigned are the business analyst roles and not the data science ones as i thought of them to be. . So will i be able to get to data science after these business analyst roles. Does business analytics include the data science and development. Or should i look for better opportunities.

Why the heck do Recruiters and Hiring managers do such a poor job keeping applicants informed to the status. I had my time wasted with an opportunity for a fortune 100 position for 3 1/2 months. Phone Screens, Zoom Interview with hiring manager, Face to face with hiring manager. (Then asked for professional references) , impromptu Zoom meet with other leader who was completely disengaged. Then boom... six weeks of silence vague texts from hiring manager they were still going thru the process..
