I have a total of 9.5 years of experience in IT, with 6 years in React frontend development and the remaining in Cloud/DevOps. I’m currently working in frontend development.

My current CTC is 21 LPA (fixed), and I’ve received an offer of 29 LPA (including 8% variable pay).

Would appreciate your suggestions — what would be a good counter or expected amount to aim for considering my experience and skill set?

Did a first interview with hr rep, went very well. she set up the hiring manager meeting for a few days later. Met with the manager. Another great conversation, went over time and was told I’d hear back about panel set up. Following day I get a request from hr rep to “continue the conversation” with manager. This is set up Tuesday.
Why do you think the manager wants to meet again? Good? Bad? I felt great about the interview when we ended.

Journalism is the best job in the world but I feel like people are less likely to take my work seriously because I am female. So it's like they automatically think the only things I would be good at writing about are fluffy little human interest stories. I'm just a reporter like everyone else. Is there some way I can tell my supervisor that yes, I do like those stories, but I like being a serious reporter even more?

Will an offer made in paper by one organization get revoked if a counter offer from other organisation is submitted to negotiate a better salary?

I got variable pay of 1 lack, two times after April's appraisal (so total 2 lack). I didn't had variable component mentioned in offer letter, but it was showing up in hr portal. Now payroll people are calling me and asking me to return the 1 lack saying it was done by mistake. What should I do?
