Stay on top of them. They often drop the ball. The year I joined, they didn’t file for my H1 though they told me they did. I had work auth on a different visa so I didn’t look into it and took them at their word that they’d applied and I didn’t get picked in the lottery. Second year, I happen to receive an email stating as you already have H1, we won’t be applying. That’s when all alarms went off and I found out what a mess they’d made. Had to get several partners involved to get them to file the H1 as my other auth was expiring. Point of the long story - don’t trust that they’ll just do it.
There are several stages! Submitting the docs in is only the beginning. They will likely come back to ask for more info / validate some points and then they will use that to write up your papers. You will then need to review / update these as needed. Not sure where you are based, but the soft copy does not sound correct. EY law will courier you several hard copies the week before the interview as you will need to submit them in at your interview for review. I wouldn’t book the appointment until you are told. Yes, the visa is a long process, but you need to go through the motions and get used to waiting your turn - that’s your life now 😂
Mine as been on hold after uploading the documents to INSZoom due to pandemic. I didn't worry much as consulates in India are still closed. As others mentioned, this is just the first step, there will lot of back and forth with EY law.
It will take months - mine took 3 months and that was pre-Covid!
Same here.. Mine took 2-3months. Are you yet to take the visa interview?
Then just wait.. They'll let you know once all the documents are good and ready to be shipped.
I'm too in same boat.. Just signed my offer letter. My onboarding & background verification has started.. Can Anyone let me know what are the chances of getting L1B approved?
