no - i believe that as long as your application is not being processed ie not selected, it's only your registration that is submitted. It should have no impact in travel, you should be able to travel but double check with your lawyer
Confirming this as I am currently abroad on leave and lawyers say only if the petition is filed then you must be back in time!

Yes you should be able to travel but you should aim to be back in the US before August or before the firm applies for your H1. Last year the second lottery was run in August and employers had until Nov to send in applications. While your petition is pending you need to be in the country for a COS (change of status). If you switch to CN (consular notification) then you can travel whenever and activate your H1 at the consulate.
