I have two questions. I have 10 years of experience in multiple sectors and I have been trying to gain a leadership position. I am attempting my PHR this summer but what are some tips in order for me to obtain a leadership position? Also, how long does it take to obtain another position out of state? I am trying to move to Houston but I don’t want to move until I am confident I can obtain a position in the city before packing up and leaving.

Living in Van. Previously lived in Toronto. Obviously rent prices are high as is cost of living. Generally go out and spend more often living in a city. Boyfriend and I on good salary but not saving much due to the above. Before we move home to our own country, we’d love to spend a year close to Vancouver where rent is cheaper, temptation is less, to save. A commute to Vancouver 1-2 times a month needs to be possible (his job). That can be a flight if it’s not crazy. Thoughts? Recommendations?

The hiring manager didn't want to move forward with a candidate because of his gut feeling. The candidate had the experience and skills necessary but couldn't put his finger on why he didn't want move forward.

The only answer he could was that she asked if pay could be changed and asked about benefits.

MBA/MS from the USA

Just like every other guy, it’s my dream to settle in the USA or any equivalent location. My problem is that I am not confident enough. I started preparing for CAT, failed miserably. I was demotivated. My job started paying me good money so I blindly upskilled myself technically. It’s been a while. I am not sure if my company can send me abroad and hence I am planning to go for MS or MBA. Continued in the comments.

Gave interview in mindtree ,firat round was average.then i was asked to to give second interview same day saying it will be a manageria and hr round. But it was again technical. Interview went fine. No results yet. When can i expect any result.

I have got a good offer but they want me to get an early release.
Although I have already resigned but seems like manager is dodging everytime I try to ask him for early release, moreover he knows that i am getting almost 130% hike and i sort of begged him to release me early. ( He said he is trying but that seems not to be the case )
