My brother has 8 YOE post his Masters with a US bank in their rates trading division as a software developer- managing, supporting and developing software for pricing trade executions, risk management and reporting requirements for the trading desk. He wants to pivot out of banking and maybe look for an opportunity with FAANG or with MBB/Tier2 consulting. Currently a first year staff in Risk Advisory in a Mid-Tier Firm hoping to move to Big 4 for either Risk or Cyber. When would be the most appropriate time to make the change? I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So would it be smarter to make the move now as a first year staff since I’ll be considered Experienced Hire anyway?

Typical / best exit opps from Strategy consulting in FS sector?

Got laid off in tech corp dev making 250-300 all in. Have an offer to join a fairly new family office investment team in PE buyouts but will be a fairly significant cash pay cut vs what I was making in tech corp dev. I’ve always been interested in doing investing. All things being equal, is there better upside to take the fam office to do PE (at a pay cut for now), or go do another corp dev job? 6-7 YOE

I work 2 part-time jobs. I just requested a pay raise at my ABA job which they approved on by 10%. Tech Stack : python(django/flask), JS (react, emberjs), good hands on in AWS, Azure, terraform, ansible, githubCI, shell script etc, DB(MYSQL, ES, postgres, mongo), and custom toolings made internally.

My current CTC is 16.5 LPA (India) with 4+ YOE, product based.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ASK FOR TORONTO LOCATION. CONSIDERING BY THE TIME I REACH THERE I WILL BE AROUND 5YOE?
