Have seen lot of hands-off “where is the deck guys” type of partners. But never seen one who asks his consultant friend to go on fishbowl and ask a comp question for him/ her. That has to be at the top of hands-off partner list.
Btw most partners have an idea of comp in other firms as your past colleagues move around and you know the market. So not sure how someone who is applying to BCG MDP role has to take indirect help from fishbowl.
Asking on behalf of a good friend who got that offer. Now do you have any factual data to add, or are you just trolling?
That escalated quickly… you might want to look up the definition of trolling.
Op, you seem lovely. I’m surprised nobody is helping you.
so……nobody on here that’s a senior equity partner in the MBBs?
There are plenty I'm sure. However if you or "your friend" know anything about BCG, you know that they won't discuss comp in public forums. The comp is standard by level, so if there's an offer, that's the offer
Nobody that wants to talk about comp publicly
While its a public forum it is also an anonymous forum. So, nothing wrong about talking about compensation.
Thats the whole business model for glassdoor at the least so nothing with OPs question imo
Quite an unhelpful bowl. Sigh.
Are you interviewing for the role or just curious?
P1 and P2, instead of providing non-answers you could have just scrolled on past. Wasnt looking for exact cents, just a range. And yes, for whatever its worth the Q did come from a friend considering the offer.
If your friend asks anyone at BCG at PL level or above in the relevant market, they should be able to answer at least directionally. We have internal presentations at least 1-2x a year that make this transparent internally (not exact $$, but close enough)
