I recently started in a sales role. Have a heavy consulting background (20 years) imagine big four and SI experience. Question - from here how easy or difficult is it to move internally. What areas within SalesForce value the consulting skill set. I have managed large teams and P&L of $20M annual. Big name client experience and complex professional services sales and delivery experience with global teams (India, UK, Latin America).

Anyone have a referral to an Account Manager role or work somewhere they really like? I have lots of full cycle AE and SDR experience, and transferable skills from prior roles. 6 years in sales, 4 years in tech, 1 year in Fintech. I’m new here, anyone have a hand to lend? Advice? Switching from commission to salary!

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

What % haircut should be expected? As an example, if I make 100k (base + commission) today, would it be realistic to ask for 90k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?

I'm assuming based on the average salary reported across these portals for principal that those figures apply to the RE group as well. Anyone have any direct knowledge or can speak to that group's comp?
