Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

Not at all, enen 22000 isn’t worth it w.r.t what you are earning here.
You will surely burn almost 15-16k every month including rent.
Also, these GCC countries are 5 days work from office, you have to get up by 5am, offices there start at 8-9 , everyday travel time would be 2 hours too and fro for office.
You will not have much time for family or upskill, day week month will pass like magic and aftwr few years you will end up in a stagnant phase,
temperature at GCC countries are unbearable most of the time.
I worked in Riyadh for 1.5 years with 22000 sar salary and then came back to india on 40 lpa remote job.
Just the other way round of your case, everything i shared above is personal experience
