Hi, I start taking a course for PMP certification. Some of the classes you can take on Coursea, Google. Their is a membership fee.
I have also started a course on CAPM on simplilearn.
That book really recommends an aspiring project manager build a showcase app? Ridiculous.
Get a PMP cert and you'll be fine.
Well, a Masters in Engineering Management is definitely the way to go. You should have no problem getting into a PM role. Happy to connect. Dm me.
Just a warning, though, not sure if there's university rivalry like there is in the States but this is on my wall in honor of my Father in law. 😉
PMP is not that relevant for Product Manager role. Better use that time to learn more about product design (tons of videos are there on YouTube) and networking.
Thank you. Will look into it.
It all depends on what you did prior to becoming a PM. I had 7 years of industry experience in FinTech as a SaaS client manager and data analyst, took a few online classes to learn the basics of product and landed a APM role. There isn't a defined path to become a PM but that could definitely help.
