You may benefit from EMDR therapy. Look into it!
Agreed, find a therapist that does EMDR and somatic therapy. It gets worse at first, but after a few weeks of weekly therapy it really makes a world of difference!
Try to focus on the good memories. At the end of the day, make a list of positive things about that person or the memories you shared for the day. Maybe complete some gratitude exercises such as writing them a letter. This will help to increase your gratitude towards that person and lessen any resentment that might be there.
