Anyone hearing noise about layoffs?
Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

He’s a good person. I never understood why he was fired in the first place.
Because he was a good person
He was my advertising teacher from AdHouse almost two decades ago. Literally the best teacher I ever had.
Same here! Still remember his class and how inspiring (but tough and real) he was.
I quit a job, in part because of him and I know many others who did as well. Seems to be lots of people who like him in this sub but I found him to be rude, dismissive, and just not someone I wanted to be around as a creative. His very public comments were a very fair assessment of his character in my working experience of him.
His comment was "so fucking boring," directed to a DEI panel/training.
It was supposed to be a private text but it was dumbly sent to the larger team.
This comment was deemed by the trade press as "racist remarks," which is a major stretch.
His comments at McCann aren’t a fair reflection of who he is. He is smart and a good creative.
He can be a lot, but no more than the rest of us.
The way he was fired is exactly what causes well meaning actions to be deemed as woke and dismissed for being performative.
I had inclusion panels that were great led by really interesting people and ones that were just plain fucking boring led by people trying capitalize on causes.
And I would be fired for saying I found it boring and uninspiring, just as he did, even though I care about the subject a lot.
I know him, I know he is not a racist guy.
Were people really happy when he got fired from McCann?
I've worked with him before and loved it. He will demand great work from creative teams and show people up when he thinks they aren't pulling their weight. Clients really liked him and he knows how to sell the work to them.
He’s great. You’re lucky to have him
Love Pierre. His high standards make you want to work hard for him, but it's worth it bc with that comes ample praise and gratitude. Great guy. Big heart. Really smart creative.
Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone can be bored during long presentations. Glad he's rebounding from the industry's overreaction.
Great guy and great creative
He great during his stint at AKQA. CCO of a holding company is mostly administrative and speaking in panels though.
I have worked with Pierre at two different agencies. At two different points in my career. Both were extremely positive. He demands great work, but he allows do their thing. He’s a seasoned vet with tons of great work at his name. If you wanna make great work, get to know him and listen to what he says. He’s extremely smart and thoughtful . Above that extremely strategic so the work not only is great but it works so the clients love him too.
I worked for him for two years and found him to be a great creative leader. He can be direct/not fluffy but will always push for great work and advocate for his teams.
OP I'm DMing you.
He sounds interesting! sorry I left Publicis!
He's up front and says it like it is, cares deeply for the craft and is a team player. Dry sense of humor and hard worker.
He’s awesome. So kind and thoughtful. I loved working with him and hope to again in the future.
Again? He joined R+C production company in January, that’s only 9 months ago. Red flag?
Yah -- I can tell you it wasn't about getting a better opportunity.......
