Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. How and why tf did you go into audit with a bachelors in computer science? You have a degree so you can definitely go into tech
If I could go back in time and meet my 21 year old self I would slap her. I still have the Knowles and background but idk how to make the switch. I did the CS degree in india not here so I don’t know if they’ll count that in
Consider adding reasonable certification as a signal you are serious (e.g. CFI's BIDA) about analytics.
Consider moving internally to deals analytics (or across firms to similar role).
Don't lose hope.
It's a very murky market with layoffs someplace and cost containment measures /hiring freezes many places.
You can easily go to internal careers site at pwc and see what’s available and the requirements
I mean that’s your best bet tho. Do you guys have counselors at Pwc? You can let them know that you’re interested in CS related roles and how to go about moving to that.
You already have a degree and experience so just put apps out there. Farther ahead than most associates that want to leave, like I just have an accounting degree and accounting experience smh
A lot of Entry level data analytics jobs just want Power BI, SQL, advanced Excel, relational database experience, etc. Maybe some python. I’ve been taking Power BI and Data Analytics courses through my firm’s learning website, if your firm has them and you want to brush up.
But with existing coding skills, just rewrite your resume to highlight those skills and you should be good. For your audit position, highlight your excel and analytical skills for any analytics workpapers you’ve done
