From experience, can any Qcom people let me know what is the expected hike I might get this time? Is it a possibility I might not get a hike at all since I joined just 4-5 months before the review process? HR gave this reason as to not negotiate my offer that you will get a hike in the cycle.

I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. One of the worst double standards in corporate america.

Companies especially startups expect you to not keep interviewing when you accept a job offer. “It can deteroriate your brand.”

But companies would replace you in a heartbeat for almost any reason. Including interviewing a candidate who will replace you (you will be fired as soon as they find a person).

So companies can fuck with the little guys but we can’t look for our best interest?
