McKinsey & Company Any advice to help prepare for data science analyst role at top consulting firms (McKinsey & Company EY Boston Consulting Group etc)? Any materials, open source platform recommended to take on freelance data science project? When should I start actively looking and applying? I am a new grad who is working in tech as a marketing analyst I’m looking to pivot to marketing& sales data science consulting next year. Would like someone with similar backgrounds offer some practical tips.
My base loc is Bengaluru, but currently I am not mandatorily required to work from office, and have been working from home since I joined Deloitte in July. Should I talk to my manager and go back to my hometown Kolkata and work from there? Staying in PG all day and working from here is not quite feasible for me. Suggest pls. Deloitte India

Don't feel guilty to reject any offer.we too put lots of efforts to attend and prepare for interview.
We take out time and follow all process.
Definitely we want all organisations to grow,do better but we should look for most suitable job as per our choice.

There is no place for emotions in IT.
I cleared all rounds including HR rounds for 2 companies. HR said they will release offer letter in a weeks time maximum. After 2 weeks I called them and they didn't have courtsey to pick my call or respond to my emails. I moved on later.
It's all about the demand and supply..no place for emotions.

I did the same as I told HR I will not come back with counter so I kept my words but he betrayed by low balling me. Now I am repenting a lot. This was my first switch after 9 years but the same company is giving joining bonus to immediate joiners, I too had 1 week left to join but they dint give me. They gave way too more salary to very less experienced ppl with same techstack as that of mine.

Chahe naukri ho ya chhokri, emotional logo ka hamesha kat ta hai, 2 din ka guilt badiya hai zindagi bhar k regret se. Ye galti mat karna k kisi ki khwahish ko uski majburi samajh lena. They want you but they will settle with anybody else as well. You are just an option for them, once their options start to increase, they will not take a moment to ditch you. Aur HR ladki hai isliye u r getting more emotional, firto yaad rakhna doguna lagaan katega.
