Hi TCSers, I just heard from a friend that for people joining after June 2021, they're not going to effect the annual appraisal immediately after 1 year but in the next appraisal cycle?

Require an immediate help in deciding whether should I join KGS as I am only having 1.6 years of experience. Currently I am working in EY GDS under a tech risk team. The hike that I am getting is of 53% of current fixed Compensation.

Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with. The work seems like it’s not a good fit for me but it feels crazy to pass up trying to get that amount of money when there really isn’t a realistic alternative to that amount of wealth (and I do want that amount of wealth).
