What weird quirks stuck with you after med school?

Not really a quirk, but more like an occupational hazard. I'm obsessed with handwashing. My family teases me for constantly "scrubbing up" at home, in restaurants, in stores, etc. Not that having clean hands isn't a good thing, but I realize I'm doing it excessively. What about you, OP?

I agree with this one. My hands get so dry because of the excessive washing. I don't mind it though.

It didn't stick with me (thank god) but I had med students syndrome pretty bad for like 5 weeks during my second year. I had horrible nightmares and daydreams every night. To be fair it could have been the sleep deprivation too but all around not a great experience.

Hello everyone! I would like to apply to MBB as an experienced hire from big 4 for a post MBA position. Do you think this is a good time to apply or I should wait given the economic situation? Thank you for your answer :)

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Thank you all!

In need of advice: I am starting a full time role (Senior Consultant) in an industry that is my post-MBA goal. I want to start MBA Fall 2022. Does it look bad to AdCom if I apply R1 having been in my job for 1 month? (Will have 1 year when I attend). Thanks!

Does an MBA (US) make sense for me? Male, Indian, Age 32, Married working in tech consulting with 10 YOE. Base is $165 with steady increases and bonus is typically 15%. I eventually do want to cross the $300K threshold but I know stopping work for 2 years and getting and MBA probably won’t get me a $300K job right away. Becoming a manger in my current company/path will probably get me there in terms of TC. Also considering EMBA from a good school (Wharton Global, Duke, Kellogg, Booth).

Hello, looking for supervisor positions in healthcare within NYC, I am looking to start ASAP. I have my Bachelors in Health Services Admin and Economics, 5 years of experience in the industry and I am currently working towards my PMP certification, as well as going for my MBA or MHA, depending on what program I can afford. I am currently located in Queens. Thank you!

Not trying to matriculate into a top 5 school, but let's talk accredidation. Does an MBA not have weight to it if the school isn't lets say, AACSB accredited but is still accreditated, i.e. SACSCOC?

I have a MHA, MBA, and BSHA. I’m wanting to get into a supervisor or manger role but I don’t have the experience. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I dive in and start getting the experience I need? I live in Washington and work in Oregon. Also, anything using my MBA would be favored as well, this degree is not healthcare specific. Thank you!

Thoughts on Cornell Metro NY EMBA for Tech Entrepreneurship?

Why is this top Ivy-league school not talked about much in MBA forums? I spoke to some really quality Alums who loved the program. Their hybrid approach with one week residential classes at their suburban flagship campus Ithaca, and weekend classes at Cornell Tech in NYC sounds very appealing for Tech freaks like me at least.

I am an architect working in the field for past one year , but now I want change my field to mba finance so would it be a good choice ??
