I think the average is about 25-40k. Could be on the hirer end since you have extensive experience.

The range about sounds about right to me. And welcome! I'm happy to have this group too. Helps to be able to share experiences with each other and ask for advice.

Somewhere in the low to mid $30ks for base pay. Low to mid $40ks all in. I've heard of some white whale companies that offer $50k+ all in, but I have yet to actually see that when applying.

I feel as though my toddlers' ped keeps overprescribing antibiotics. Both boys (3 yo and 17 mo) have been sick for about a week, baby has had a recurrent fever for a month, but after a 2nd opinion, was told I could hold off on the meds and just make do with tylenol/ibuprofen for discomfort. The baby has been on antibiotics every 1.5/2 months since November, switching between amoxicillin and augmentin. I think this dr is very good but due to childhood trauma Im distrustful of peds. Any thoughts?

I'm really frustrated. I'm on a 3p team
& my manager called out sick today. My male
colleague was very quick to reassure her in the
group chat she had nothing to worry about,
& “we would handle it, np". He then
privately messaged me & said "hey, I don't
have capacity today to look at the team stuff, I'm busy with my other work" & I ended
up supporting the whole team by myself.
I'm happy to be a team player, but F his taking credit for my work. How do I get credit for this without “tattling”?

Hey guys! Went to college with full intention of getting into medical school. Graduated right before the pandemic which gave time to think long and hard about going to med school. Decided I was doing it for all the wrong reasons, and am trying to pivot into consulting. I’ve reached out to hundreds on LinkedIn, which lead to a few referrals, but have heard nothing back from any firms. Anyone willing to help me out with some advice and guidance?

My partner hasn’t been feeling well over the last couple days. Nothing severe, just slight malaise and fatigue. She told me she had contact with someone who was Covid positive but she’s in healthcare so that isn’t anything new. She was prepared. Today she was sent home from work and told to quarantine but has insisted on getting hugs and even coughed on me during one. We’ve been together for a LONG time. This is a pattern for when she gets sick but with possible Covid I expected more precaution

Received an offer to lateral to a big firm. The benefits package includes health, dental, disability etc. but no mention of their parental leave policy. I don’t recall my current job spelling that out either in my offer. Im not planning on having kids in the immediate future but I am curious of the policy at the new firm. Fair question to ask or will it scare them if I do?

Seeking advice - have 2 competing offers. First opportunity is in consulting (ACN) and the other is in industry with similar responsibilities as consulting. Industry opp company is a startup. I’ll have to take a cut of $13k in base + bonus + 401k match in industry vs consulting offer. Industry opp is at a Director level for strategy & operations and involves client management. Would really appreciate your input. Thanks!

Hello, patient services representative here. I had moved hospital patient registration to the clinic so I can get benefits. I took a $6 dollar pay cut although I do work from home. I’m pretty knowledgeable on insurance and have a good understanding of how things work. I get paid about $21/hr and it’s just not enough money. I making ends meet working 80 hours a week. Im currently going to school full time and would like some input on what I should do.

Recently, I’ve noticed more couples feeling apprehensive to continue treatment because they are worried about potential repercussions if they miscarry during the IVF process. Honestly, I’m not sure how to reassure them because I also feel afraid, but I just want to continue supporting these wonderful couples & families. I would be heartbroken if they ended up suffering more because of their treatments. I’m just feeling so conflicted & sad today after meeting with a couple who decided to postpone treatment.

I obtained a bachelors degree in 2011 however that school closed and did not share records with WV higher education comission, neither are they at student clearinghouse. The school was accredited, during my time then lost accreditation a year after. (Mountain State University). Can anyone recommend how to handle this with HR if they can’t verify one of my degrees? Thank you!
