Cisco offered me the following package for Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Cisco Details: $125k base/ 12% bonus / $17k sign on bonus. Is this a good package for Canada?
Hi Fishes, I have 1.8 yrs Exp and working in the Big data domain and have a few offers please help to decide on the comparatively better option based on salary, Work-life Balance, security, and Carrer Growth. EY GDS: CTC 12 ( 11.20 Fixed ) Publicis Sapient: 16 CTC ( 14.5 LPA FIXED ) Neudesic (IBM) 16 CTC ( 14.5 FIXED + WFH Remote Complete ) PubMatic: 22.70 CTC + 2 lakhs Joining Bonus ( 16 fixed LPA + Other benefits, stocks, etc ) It will be very helpful if you can suggest with some reason.
Best life lesson I learned from Deloitte: don’t ever, EVER sign a contract that demands you return the sign on bonus if you leave within a year. I thought to myself, “I would never leave a company within a year”, but I grossly underestimated how much I could hate a job.
I just received an offer within the industry and I'm excited to join. That said, they have come in at the bottom of my range (I said $320k when I started talking with them in December, and upgraded that to $350k based on market movements since then) I'm particularly bothered by the clawback on my bonus payments until my LTIP kicks in. Below I'm attaching my redacted offer letter and draft response. Looking for feedback on my response (whether reasonable, any improvements). Thanks.
Am I mad to follow love instead of money? Context: 24 years old, got a great job as a commodity broker, been doing it one year now and bonus has grown substantially every quarter. Long term girlfriend (3 years) is moving to Australia in October, as of right now she thinks I am going with her. A large % of my social circle are also going. My company will probably not relocate me - our presence is tiny in Oz, meaning I can only get a working holiday visa (temp jobs). Am I mad to move for love?
I received two offers and would love to get some input. Deloitte Lead DS(Senior Consultant) : 160k TC Internal, Remote, Minimum travel Small consulting firm Principal DS (Partner): 240k-280k TC (bonus vary) with 200k base , 10,000 shares equity ( no idea how much worth) , lead and managing a team. ~70 consultants, 10 partners focus on DS and analytics consulting. Remote with some travel. TC and title better in a small firm, but any point I should consider? 10 YOE, ~7 YOE in DS and analytic
Can someone share the pay range for CSAs at Microsoft? Looking for some details on base, bonus, Stocks and sign on
When you’ve been at a company for less than a year after undergrad, when’s the absolute breaking point to start looking for new jobs? Only thing stopping me is the sign on bonus claw back. For context I am not a fan of the consulting lifestyle, the job changes with every project, demanding clients/senior level employees, and travel is exhausting.
Just turned down an exit opp because my firm is matching +retention bonus. Pray for me 🙏
Anyone got any insight into BCG PLATINION? Got approached for Senior IT Consultant- pays £83k base 30-40% bonus. Quite an IT strategy heavy role, doing ERP plans etc. Currently M at Accenture london , 6 YOE based in Strategy and Consulting - looking to move in summer. Thank you 🙏
How do you balance delaying gratification and continuing to save for you big financial goals? Just got my first massive bonus, and wondering how to allocate. I feel like the instant I stop living frugally, the floodgates of self control I’ve built up over 24 years will burst open, and I’ll swing to the opposite extreme 😂
Beside consulting, there are other companies that give sign in bonus for post mba? Do tech companies have this policy?
Corporate midlevel, switched firms and owe taxes this year. Thought for sure I’d have a refund since new job always withholds maximum social security even though it shouldn’t. Is this because of the extra bonuses this last year and 22% bonus tax rate? Trying to figure it out, I always do standard withholdings and don’t change anything.
Can I ask- Which company are you in and how much is your yearly hike and bonus's. Preferably in percentages.

The US needs to stop meddling in foreign affairs and invest in ourselves. Why on earth do we give Israel $38 Bill in aid annually?! Then they expand in Mid-East and threaten the 2 state solution
Big4 company wants me to tell my current employer (big client) that I am intending to join them and sort of get a soft approval. This is before even giving a written offer. I have no interaction with anyone from this Big4 co, nor has anyone associated with both companies has helped. This is all after interview, offer negotiation, offer approval. Does this happen? Seems like I wasted my time.
Is it just me or does junior staff want acknowledgment/compliment for every single task they perform? I’m exaggerating, but kind of exhausting saying “good job” to someone for tying their shoes.
Is anyone on here a partner?
What kind of training do MBB folks get? I’m in at a small consulting firm and dated a couple MBB folks. They always seem to be well spoken, well dressed and groomed. Is this something they are trained for? If yes, where can I find similar trainings? I want to level up my communication and dressing.
