Honestly I don’t know if I would take that. Just got an email for $75k sign on bonus. But I don’t want to stay there for X amt of years… I still wouldn’t go back to retail unless absolutely necessary…
That's wild. What's the average pay now? I just assumed all the new grads are flooding the market still
I'd change careers if I had to go back to retail pharmacy. My advice to you if you're young: do some PRN work while obtaining licensing/credentialing in or out of pharmacy. If you've got 5 years, you could make a nice career in tech or other areas. Network like your life depends on it.
Sign on bonuses can mean several things. Primarily, the pay rate is low and it’s a hard to staff store.

Now I’m seeing Reddit tales of the last time Wags did this, they put the new hires in “problem” stores and fired the pharmacists right before the term was up and made them repay the bonuses. Awful if it’s true.
