Hi In the present scenario, what's a better option for current students b/w two for job opportunities (considering visa sponsorship challenges) aspect: 1) study on f1 and then avail cpt/opt for job 2) study on h4, apply for h4 ead (assuming their spouse already has an approved i140) and look for jobs.

I'm sorry if this has been talked about before. Is it true that once you start the perm process you are stuck with your company till you get a green card? Are we still seeing h1b transfer rejects with big4, FANG or other large consulting firms? Considering a switch.

Anyone know which agency sponsors employment based green card? My currency company won’t sponsor until my h1b expires in 2-3 years, so i’m curious to see how other companies handle.

I was on opt from July 2020 to July 2021. I got my h1b approved in 2020 and chose to activate it via the consular processing method. I left the US in Jul 2021 and will finally visit the embassy for stamping tomorrow. If successful, does it mean that I could get another company to apply for a h1b transfer right away? Or do I have to enter the US before the h1b transfer process can start? Thanks!

What is the point of recruiters. This isn’t to troll but I really don’t understand the point of recruiters. For the efficiency we all so dearly chase, won’t recruiters be an easy trim - esp the HHs working for third party firms.

I'm new to the industry and this is my first corporate job. Been working as a BI analyst for about 2.5 years and I roughly make $80k. I'm having a hard time trying to gauge how much should I be making, or if I speak to my manager about increasing compensation how much to ask for so I won't sound absurd. Do you all have any tips on this or are there any tools that I can use to accurately gauge how on average much I should be earning?
