Anybody looked into the Golden Visa residency program for Portugal? Seriously considering it and would love to connect with people who have gone thru it.

Currently at IBM where they are looking to start my green card process. Got an offer from D, and they will do my green card after a year.

Current H1B is valid till September 2024. With regards to timeline, is there anything I should consider or should I stick to IBM and get it done now?

Week 2 at new company that goes off Chinese custom. Most employees are Chinese citizens on visa. I noticed something odd about some of their employment agreements, they are paid 85% salary during probation of 6 months. If performance is good, they get the full 100% after month 6. I personally have never seen this, nor do I think this is legal in the US let alone WA/CA. Trying to get them up to compliance but this one has me stumped. My gut says this is illegal. All employees are engineers.

I was told, specifically and without question that I was legitimately able to continue to use the AT&T Oracle FAN corporate discount program after I was no longer an employee. I have had that discount for the past 11yrs, until last month. I think I am being screwed by AT&T.
