I personally believe that if someone gives you an hour of their time and you meet with them you have an obligation to let them know what's happening. It's honestly outrageous to me that people could see it any differently and would ghost people. I don't know what's happened to good manners in society over the past decade or so, it's like coarse behavior from reality TV has become the standard.

I always do.. I think it's important to show respect for people's time. I have been ghosted myself, so I try my best not to do the same, but I usually just leave a message thanking the person for their time and telling them that at this time we won't be moving forward with the candidate. How would you like to receive the news? I am open to ideas.

I make sure to reach out to all candidates, every time. I get frustrated when companies don’t contact applicants but then complain about applicants ghosting them. Unprofessional and wrong, on our part. They treat us the way we’ve taught them to.
