Honest question. I have a retainer client that I’ve worked with for over 6mo. They pay in the beginning of the month for 40hrs of work ($4500). At the end of the month I submit a time sheet. Last month was on the slower end and added up to 30 hrs. This month they’re barely going to be at 10-15hrs tops. It’s already paid for but should I say anything? Suggest to keep some of it as credit? I feel bad charging for so little work but obv don’t want to rerun the money. What’s a proper thing to do?

Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. My accounting edge finance is not compatible with the new Mac OS. I do not need the $15/month subscription they offering as an upgrade since I’m a lone freelancer.
