I’d love to hear some more details. Considering dropping the plat soon
I’m not sure i understand why this is so great. Plenty of cards give you an annual bonus that offsets the fee, and the 2% earnings from cap one is nowhere near industry leading. And having to use their portal for the $300 travel credit is limiting…
Currently going on year 3 or 4 with Amex platinum, but looking to switch because the rate is getting unreasonably high. It’s about $600, but it pays for my annual CLEAR membership ($109), priority pass, delta club, airline fees (up to $200), Uber credit($120), saks ($100), monthly credit towards Disney+, Hulu+, ESPN+ or nyt ($240). I️ know chase offers deals with DoorDash, but haven’t seen much else

I agree that Venture X is basically a free card with decent benefits but until there are more CapOne lounges, 5x on airline bookings, ANA as a transfer partner etc, Amex Plat is still good to have. Plus i think the credits are justifiable but require more work
Pro
Lol why not all three
Virgin atlantic lounges have extremely limited hours plus Plat has access too. VX has access to PP restaurants and thats about it
The capital one venture x has a $395 annual.
Benefits it gives:
- $300 annual travel credit
- 10k anniversary pts
At this point it’s already -$5 net annual
- Global entry/tsa
- Lounge access(priority pass AND plaza premium AND Cap1)
- 4 authorized users FREE(these users get global entry and lounge access free)
- There’s probably more I’m missing
Cap1 is literally paying you to get the card. Absolute game changer. Feel free to DM for referral.
You’ve convinced me
The warning I've heard is that $395 is probs to get you in, and in a few years once people are hooked it'll likely go up. However, still a fantastic deal right now
I mean thats what all cards or products do right… get you in at low price, build brand loyalty and etc
