Hot take: Andriod is the superior product, the only reason the iPhone is so popular is because Apple is better at branding. But Apple stopped innovating well over a decade ago.

This is not a hot take - it also doesn’t matter.

You’re not wrong, but there’s no way I’d succumb to a life as “the green bubble guy” excluded from any and all group chats.

Is that really a hot take? Seems to be said every other day online.

...since the 80s re: Mac vs PC

Warm take: a company's ethos (prioritizing privacy, security, and design) and mindful choices around what a product DOESNT do are more important than bells and whistles.

To the point that 'Apple stopped innovating,' they've signed a deal with OpenAI, so get ready for on-device AI assistance across multiple apps.

Well, yeah, Apple products are fashion items. They always have been. And the fetishizing of phones have reached an odd phase. Even a cheap Android now can do just about anything anyone would want on a phone. Most people just need them to read, text, and take a few photos. And even then the average use isn't adept enough to push a more or less generic phone to its limits.

'Fashion products' might be true for phones, and might be true for Macs today, but it was not always true. The company started with real performance and capability differences, esp for creative work.

Android people think about their OS, Apple people think about their device. That's the difference.

Anyone have any thoughts on a fair salary for a part time virtual tax prep-focused position? I’ve been made an offer for south of 800 hours/year (fluctuating for seasonal ebb and flow, of course), and I’m curious whether it’s a decent offer or not. I have 13 years of experience in a big box franchise where I’ve handled complex returns from day 1. 30% of my workload has been 1120/1120S/1065 and the rest higher-level 1040s and a few 1041s & 990s. I’ll be bringing 75-100 clients with me.

[Facebook Ads Data VS Google Analytics Data] 🤯

How can I merge FB and GA data? Some clients of mine believe that Facebook doesn't bring us results 'cause GA says so. The difference between the two of them is A LOT. Facebook says we have 100 conversions and GA only reports 2. How can I prove to them that Facebook does its job? What data can I show?
