Interview led typically. Ie. Question after question building on the case from the interviewer. You don’t have to probe or tease out what comes next.
That’s one way to put it. Honestly, we’re looking to get with people who are not just math junkies but are math junkies AND know what the strategic implications of what they’re solving for are. And the really good candidates will have high instinct on what a current value or state not only means now but what it could mean in the future and therefore should be able steer the interview in those directions.
Honestly have fun. Case interviews are a lot easier when you approach them with a sense of curiosity and partnership (for a hot second) with your interviewer. At Alix specifically I’m looking for someone I can jam with and see as an intellectual sparring partner and not a point and deploy resource for a problem
