Interviewing to crossover from plaintiff to defense work, wondering what a competitive salary offer would be from a firm in the V20-30 range, 5th year, antitrust practice. NY/DC scale. Thanks in advance

Pulseaudio, Bluez stack
Python, Bash and Perl scripting, C app dev for linux systems.
Skills: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN & PCIe.
Good understanding on internals of FreeRTOS.

Hi ! I have gotten an offer via email for what I believe is level 9 data visualization specialist in the dc area. I have a masters and 3.5 years of consulting experience. I’ve gotten an initial offer and trying to get some context on what the range is for this and whether I should push for more or accept. What are your thoughts on the Scrum Master role? I’ve worked with a few now and out of 5 of them, only 1 seemed to be of any help. Most of the time we have to explain every detail multiple times and they still don’t understand what we’re doing. I feel that the role should be reserved for employees with experience in the systems they work in.

What book have you read that was helpful for your career and/or that you would recommend? Could be a technical book, management, etc. For me, it’s a book I read a few years ago: The Phoenix Project. I never thought I would read and like a novel about DevOps but I recommend it to all my managers.
