I just started an investment network for angels/accredited investors to get connected with startups and small businesses. We have 20 pitches and many more building pitches, but struggling to onboard accredited investors. Anyone have any advice/ideas for outreach?? Really passionate and willing to work any channel to expand our network. Thanks you!

Hey guys, I'm an ex-Bain consultant building a presentation app that shows ways to visualize insights clearly and quickly. We turn blanks into 60% WIP materials in seconds and have an early demo at depiction.ai - would love to hear what ya'll think! Brutally honest feedback would be much appreciated.

Depends what valuation you expect the company (and you) will exit at (and how big the market is)
Series A at the end of the day is highly variable on backing and role, for unicorn companies backed by heavy hitters i.e KKR, Sequoia etc, engineering, corp dev and product management equity can be in the millions, for some pretty much nothing. My first series A out of college gave me 15k in equity as a software engineer vs my wife on the other hand joined google as a product manager and got 250k in equity back in the early 2000’s. I joined another series A about 5 years ago with 750k in equity at the director level. No good way to answer this question without knowing more.
Most people here have no context. You are looking at % of total shares. # of shares and nominal valuation is quite meaningless.
It is hard to say because you don’t indicate a level. I would want the shares to be worth at least $100,000 a year if the company achieved a Billion valuation by joining during A.
Level would be Senior Manager of BD. The 100k reference is very helpful, thank you!
What’s series A.. is 120k in London good pay?
Series A start-up. It is good base for London
I didn’t get any equity when I joined my Series A as entry level
What is your YOE and what is Series A? It’s a good offer in pounds (£)
2.5 YOE (consulting at MBB) and series A start-up
120k in London is a good base regardless of equity. Like everyone here said, equity can be so variable and I wouldn't count on it.
What’s the company valued at? How much equity are you getting? $120k is a lot for a series A, I assume it’s well funded.
