How difficult (learning curve, interviewing, overall process) was the transition when switching groups internally? I’m one year in and considering switching groups

Depends from where to where in terms of learning curve, but between ibd type roles not super steep. Because learning curve is figuring out the new personalities.

The hardest part candidly is playing the political game to get the move- especially only a year in. 2 years in is the normal transition point

Easy.

Does this approach make sense or do you recommend other approaches? If it makes sense, do you have any recommendations for classes or communities?

I have a game I love to play at the airport. I find someone who has the most vague resemblance to someone famous and then insist they are that person.

Like "Oh my God, you're Tom Hanks! I love so many of your movies and I think you are great and so funny in interviews. How are you feeling? I heard you had covid?"

Guy who very very vaguely resembles Tom Hanks insists he isn't. Then I keep insisting he is.

This is a fun way to pass time during layovers.

Has anyone ever posted a general marketing position? We have an open position on our marketing team but we are unsure what type of position to offer. We have a wide variety of needs but don’t necessarily need to have this future person have all these skills. For example we need someone with great copywriting skills and also need someone who is great at digital marketing. This person doesn’t necessarily need to have both skills but if they did great, but if only one, great too.

Can someone please for the love of god help me figure out how I can pay less income taxes? I only make 88k and I put the 12k standard deduction but I’m still getting taxed 27% of my paychecks!
