I have completed 8 months in the current org and my Notice Period is 90 Days.
If I resign and serve notice , my tenure at current workplace will be 11 months.
Should I work for one more month and resign ?
Or should I resign right away and serve 2 months notice period and buy out one months notice ?

My mother in law got scammed by a con artist from the UK online and lost $7K (damn you Facebook!)

Her status in the US is currently complicated and she doesn’t have a green card(tho she’s working on it), my wife(her daughter) is American.

I want to report this to the FBI’s elder fraud department but I don’t want to complicate her situation even more.

Does anyone know if criminal stuff like this and immigration related things are separated?

The week of my wedding, my husband (PL SQL Developer 4 yoe) was laid off. That was a couple of weeks ago. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
