How do people handle large conferences & the ask to network when it makes you very uncomfortable & exhausts you far faster than your peers. What’s a conference you’ve attended that’s been good to you?

I go to Dreamforce every year. It’s fantastic and I love it...but I have to plan a week afterward to be alone. And I don’t go to the random happy hours and dinners every night either. I reserve at least 2 nights for dinners or other stuff with my actual friends so I’m not surrounded by randos. That works well for me.

Went to Grace Hopper last year. Fortunate to go with group of colleagues- some of which are extroverts and took a lot of the burden of networking off of me but I still got to meet people and expand my network. I also hide in stalls in remote bathrooms periodically when I just need a few minutes to myself. I try to think of them more like interval training than a continuous marathon. Lol

HR tech conference was great for me. Went by myself to research competition. Only met up with a few familiar faces while there. Just enough to keep me social and still sane!

I’ve worked in sales for 12 years (8 years retail sales and management, 4 years inside tech sales and management). I’m feeling the burn and looking for something else in the tech field. I’m making $140k. I have a college degree but no marketing, engineering, or product experience. What other departments/jobs could I jump to and still keep close to my OTE? I’m pretty good at Salesforce and have thought about a SFDC admin type role, but that’s all I’ve thought of so far.

Hi Everyone !!!

This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at
Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.

I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?

Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

I currently working as project coordinator (on-site) for 3 months 10hrs everyday with package $75k, I want to move to remote or hybrid work but I only have 8 months of experience from my previous employer and I have completed my master's in construction management in 2021. Should I stay in my role a bit longer to gain experience or I am not able to find remote or hybrid matching my profile. Your advice and comments are much appreciated.

My SO will put me on the spot sometimes (he is an extrovert) and say just talk to me (it will just be us two). He generally talks a lot and me so much. The second he says that my mind goes blank and for the life of me I can't remember anything to talk about. It's like stage fright. Is this normal? Anyone else experience this?

Anyone else frustrated with how people conflate introversion with social anxiety? I’m introverted but not socially anxious. And I know plenty of socially anxious extroverts.
