If you’re questioning it,,, you’re probably burnt out. Time to book a vacation/schedule some PTO.

Thanks. Probably not good if I did take PTO recently and spent it catching up on work without having to attend meetings.
Start making a serious effort to separate your working hours from your personal time. If you can create a boundary in your mind at the end of the workday, that would be a good beginning. It's important not to let the job just seep into your entire life.

Thanks! On good days I create a little todo list as I shut down all my open browser tabs and apps. Then shut off my laptop. In the morning I create a new not with the 1-3 tasks that I actually commit to completing. I haven’t been doing that practice for the past few weeks. I should get back to basics.
I like to regularly audit the responsibilities I'm supposed to be doing compared to the responsibilities I'm actually doing. It's amazing how quickly stuff gets piled onto us without us even realizing it, and suddenly we're doing twice as much work as we were hired to do.

Great advice! I’m overdue for an audit.
I know I’m burnt out when I find myself crying in the shower at about 3 AM. Now I often put myself in this position because I am a bit of a procrastinator. So I have never really mastered any techniques to keep me organized or help with time management.
Sounds like time to take a break haha
I’ve been there. Are you remote? It seems to happen more as remote because of unclear boundaries. Like others have already said I did very clear boundary setting when I started my new job after being burnt out at my last one. I never stayed past my working hours, never open my laptop before 8. Take my full 1 hour break. We use a task management system and I make sure all of my time estimates are slightly longer than what it may actually take me (because realistically our brains can’t work 8 hours without some sort of bathroom/snack/walk break). I also include tasks for all my meetings so that they are calculated in my daily time estimates. I try to calculate appx no more than 7 estimated hrs of work and meetings in my day to allow room for one off asks and unexpected emails. I go through and prioritize things each morning and if I’m over 8 hours I reach out to my coworkers and just ask priority and see if I can push it back.
