Read “Case In Point.” That book teaches foundational case questions like these pretty well.

The problem with case interviews is that so many people expect you to follow standard linear logic frameworks.
If you have trouble with that, start with your hypothesis and then identify how you would prove them out.

With that said, the examples you provided are pretty simple one-two step case questions. I'd definitely have those frameworks written down as a reminder.
I do case interviews sometimes. I just want to see that the applicant can come up with and apply a reasonable approach. I care less about whether they get the “right” answer.
Catchy, formal process are great (nerd voice: “First I’ll do a fishbone analysis…”). But I just need to see critical thinking and problem solving. The case study allows me to avoid hiring someone who needs to be spoon-fed every step, or who will miss obvious risks.
