Hi folks, how is thoughtworks as an organisation?
Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte

I either use my lunch for an extra hour during the week or stay an extra hour or two.
I study 4-8 hours on the weekend. Sometimes I’ll do the morning, enjoy my day, then study at night…
I have been deferred twice on level 2 so far (one on my own and one against my wishes) but I’m going l2 in a week. This time around tbh I was lazy and ran through entire chapters on the weekend and ran through questions when I could. I have off the full week before the test so I’m going to keep pushing 4 hrs a day or soooo. I am hitting mid 60s on mocks.
It’s a lot of stuff to balance depending on your level test / seniority at work / obligations at home / expectations of your friends family or partner.
Some people wake up super early to work then study. I wake up early (5-6am) to study then work. Gym during ‘lunch’ and then eat while doing non typing work. Grind out afternoon work and try to leave by 5pm on the dot to study couple more hours. Go home, pack up meals/clothes for next day, etc.
Personally the biggest thing for me is not carrying my phone with me all day. When your friends asks you to do stuff, you need to weigh how happy it’ll make you, how happy it’ll make them, and if it’s an activity you enjoy. You need to think of time blocks as investments. Ex; i spent lots of $$ and time in 2021 and 2022 and failed but that was OK, because I had made choices to spend time / make investments in what was also important. The biggest thing, is having the mental bandwidth to study. There’s been weeks where I work 4 hours per day for weeks non stop but the 4 hours completely zapped my brain and I could not study without feeling like dying or falling asleep.
Otherwise, finding a study partner is motivating.
