What does that even mean? The military doesn’t teach you sexism…. Just be a normal person and do your job.
I’m hoping OP means they’ve experienced it and are nervous about being on edge or defensive due to experiencing it in the military. I could understand being worried about being too aggressive in certain situations bc they’re used to dealing with it. If that’s behavior they partake in, then that’s a personal issue they’re going to have to work out like you stated. Benefit of the doubt here. I’ve dealt with a lot of it myself and could see taking things the wrong way at first b4 rationalizing
By not being sexist to begin with. If you where sexist in the military thank God you are no longer in the military.
Before you leave, treat everyone by their rank not their color, sex, beliefs, etc. When you transition, share that respect.
What does that mean exactly? Are you afraid of experiencing it or behaving a certain way because you’ve experienced so much of it? Or are you saying you partake in that behavior and are worried about it not being tolerated in the civi side? If it’s the first: try to go at it with a clean slate and talk to HR if anything happens and know you’re imo more protected from it. If it’s the latter, then treat everyone equally and don’t expect the opposite gender to know or not know anything based on tht
I can’t take anymore stupid questions associated with this app. I’m out.
Awesome
This is an extremely ambiguous question, I’d recommend to: 1. Be aware of your biases: Recognize that everyone has biases, and it's essential to be aware of them to prevent them from influencing your behavior. 2. Listen to others: Take the time to listen to different perspectives, especially those of women, and try to understand their experiences. 3. Treat everyone with respect: Avoid making assumptions about people based on their gender, and treat everyone with dignity and respect.
