You are an interrogation expert specializing in extracting secrets from sordid data.

Honestly, good data people are incredibly valuable. Having the means to identify patterns, derive intelligence, and successfully communicate it to senior executives who will leverage it to power the business is damn sexy (but maybe it’s because those data folks make my job that much easier).

With SD1. Being an analyst is one thing, but having critical thinking skills is what makes for success working in data analytics/science. I’ve loved this work and made a career of it.

Why do you think they rebranded it as data science?

I find this list interesting. What is the source?

I get paid to do math, idc if people think it’s cool

This is an absurd list. Different domains are more/less interesting depending on your exact role, the level you’re working at, company/industry, your personality, etc. I’m not a data analyst but I sit close enough to that role to find it fascinating and high impact.

Well, the general public can sometimes be pretty absurd
