My suggestion to candidates struggling like this is to go volunteer somewhere. It gets you out of your head. I know what it’s like. I was unemployed many years ago for 17 months! Yep it was a struggle but I made it thru. You will too.
You can't be too hard on yourself. We're in a remarkably bad job market right now. I saw a news story yesterday about how this year has as many layoffs as in the pandemic. It's shocking how things are trending downward. All you can do is be persistent and do your best.
You keep going. It will get better and you will find another job. Try the hidden job market, where recruiters are reaching out to people without posting the jobs online. Optomise your LinkedIn profile so you can show up infornt of these recrutier searches.
Have you tried Witzenmann their always hiring 1305 Stephenson ✌🏾

I fight back by breaking the search into tiny steps. Momentum feels like progress even when results are slow.

Please don’t be so hard on yourself, but I know that’s easier said than done. Keep going and I hope something does come of it😊

Job searching can take a toll in ways people do not always talk about. When I felt that low, I reminded myself that the silence was about the market, not my worth. Small wins helped me rebuild momentum. You do not have to push alone.
I don’t really have any to say other than I am sorry you are going through this and that you are not alone. I, too, am going through this, and it is soul crushing. I’m 3 months into looking. Many companies are not hiring at the end of the year. At least that is my thought. And so I am hopeful that 2026 will have more opportunities for us. It’s been very hard. Today I went to an interview and I thought I did well, but 1 hour later, I got the rejection letter. I don’t know if the quick rejection email is what angered me more or that they wasted my time. It seems they already had someone in mind and was just going through the process for documentation. Idk.
